Engineering Manager
You will have an overall responsibility for the engineering department. This includes working with annual investment budget process as well as managing and developing the coworkers with overall responsibility for their projects. Given that there only are two subordinate employees, you will also drive your own projects.
The engineering department has various types of projects. For example investment projects which includes responsibility for the entire process; specifications of requirements for procurement, installation, handover and follow up. Swedspan work close with their contractors, so it is important to establish and maintaining good relationship with them. Other projects will, for example, support production and maintenance in the operational activities.
As an engineering manager, you are also responsible for tracking trends in the industry and driving the strategic development of engineering. This strategic development is done in collaboration with the management team in Swedspan Sweden but also with the cross-functional engineering team within Swedspan Group. You will work with continuous improvements to achieve the common goal; high availability. You are a member of the management team and report to the CEO.
We are looking for a mechanical engineer who has experience from the process industry. You have previously driven engineering projects with a comprehensive budget. You have leadership skills and ability to cooperate, and you have a high ability to create and develop relationships.
